Wheel
2022
Glass
Inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s Bicycle Wheel, this piece reinterprets the iconic readymade through the fragile medium of glass. By transforming a utilitarian object into something delicate and breakable, the work deepens the disassociation from function and challenges our understanding of material, value, and permanence. It is both a homage to Duchamp and a critique of contemporary art production and its reliance on reproduction and symbolism.
