Chapter 0.

GREET

Hi, thank you for visiting my website and checking out my “About Me” page. I’m always happy to connect with new friends and fellow artists. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me on social media.

A little bit about me: I was born and raised in Hangzhou, China—one of the most beautiful cities in the world (in my opinion). Growing up in a culturally rich city nurtured my love for art, movies, and literature.

After moving to the U.S., I realized there’s more to creating art than just making something visually cool. I became fascinated with exploring identity, how we connect with the world around us, and the ways we reconcile our internal and external experiences. This ongoing journey—of understanding how to exist within both the world and my own mind—inspires much of my work and ideas.

Chapter 1.

WHERE I AM AT

Being 25 is a profound challenge. I don’t know where life is headed just yet. I can be a lot of different things. There are a lot of expectations, fears, and anxiety—but also a lot of excitement and life choices. I recently learned that the magnitude of happiness at 45 is not as strong as at 25. Rightly so. So, I shall just enjoy this simple pleasure and the challenge I get to have at 25. No regrets.

As for life paths, I can start a family; get married; have a child; move to a new city, which would likely be Japan (because why not?); start a new college degree; be a full-time artist living in my parents’ basement (while they don’t actually have a basement); find a 9-to-5 and save for my 401(k); move back to my hometown to live with my parents; do a startup; make my own podcast; be a YouTuber; or simply just do a lot of drugs or drink a lot of alcohol.

Literally, I can be a lot of things as a Chinese person living in the US. I could just dive into either of these two worlds. But what should I do? That is something with no right or wrong answers (maybe a "hard no" to serious substance abuse). I am currently traveling the world. It’s helping my 25-year-old mind understand how the world is different—life in so many countries is different, hard yet enjoyable, and full of challenges.

As humans, we all face similar challenges: who are we and where shall we go? It seems like others cannot make decisions, but simply offer suggestions to me. I want to learn what’s out there, who I admire, and what kind of life is suitable for me. I now know a simple, stable life is not enough; I have the fire to create and to build. I want to build something that goes beyond myself. That’s why I always love, and will always love, design and art.
